CULTURE: DAY LIFE, @lowereastnyc Street Fair ::: June 3rd !

Who: The LES BID and Dub Studio Architects, brought together in a partnership through Design NYC, and LES businesses
What: The Lower East Side BID is transforming Orchard Street into an “urban backyard”, a three-block special event designed in partnership with Dub Studios. This one-day event will be open to all, to shop and experience the vibrant culture, food, art, music and entertainment that defines the LES.
When: Sunday, June 3rd, Noon-5pm
Where: Orchard Street between Delancey and Houston

Why: “DayLife” is an event that hopefully will be the first in a series of original Sunday programming on three blocks that have been closed to vehicular traffic since 1972. Paying homage to the history of the neighborhood, DUB Studios has created a modern pushcart designed specifically for LES businesses to sell merchandise right on the street. The event will have a backyard BBQ feel with Astroturf serving as grass, picnic tables to hang out at, ping pong tables, a skateboarding ramp, music and more.
