Coquito Masters Competition

Season Kick-Off

Saturday, October 14 | 7:00PM 

The Boogie Down welcomes coquito season with the Coquito Masters competition! This event, in collaboration with the International Coquito Federation, will feature the borough's most innovative coquito-makers. Visitors will sample different coquito recipes and enjoy a comedy set by Puerto Rican comedian & journalist Bill Santiago. The event will also feature performances by special guests, including rappers #Circa95, musician #BobbySanabria, poets Nancy Mercado & Carmen Bardeguez-Brown, ​and b-girl/singer ROKAfella, among others. The BMHC will be collecting donations for Puerto Rico hurricane relief efforts, to be donated to the Jazz Foundation of America (JFA). JFA relief will help musicians on the island who have lost their homes, instruments, and livelihoods.
